David received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During his undergraduate studies, he was invited to study at the prestigious Oxford University in Oxford, England. After graduation, David earned his J.D. from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. David has been an Adjunct Professor, heading a Driver's License Restoration Clinic.

David has lived in Charlotte his entire lifetime. When not practicing law, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also plays his Gibson 339 electric guitar as often as possible.
