Simple Will

RTS Law Group can help you plan for the distribution of your personal assets upon your passing. Using a planning tool such as a Will, you can direct your assets in the future. We will evaluate your situation, and through your input, we will formulate a plan that will protect your assets by minimizing estate taxes and maximizing the value of the distributions to your beneficiaries.

Living Will

A Living Will declares your intentions as to what procedures you wish to be administered to you upon being declared incompetent. Commonly drafted issues are when one is in a terminally ill state, an irreversible coma, or a persistent vegetative state. This document is executed simultaneously with a Health Care Power of Attorney, and is controlling over the Health Care Power of Attorney if there are any inconsistencies.

Healthcare Power of Attorney

A Healthcare Power of Attorney allows a loved one to make key medical decisions for you after you have been declared incompetent. These decisions are subject to the Living Will, and all inconsistencies are controlled by the Living Will.

Durable Power of Attorney

A Durable Power of Attorney allows someone you trust to make key financial decisions for you. This can take place either immediately or only upon being judged incompetent.

Trusts (Revocable & Irrevocable)

A trust is a relationship whereby property (including real, tangible and intangible) is managed by one person for the benefit of another. The creator of a trust (known as a settler) entrusts some or all of their property to a person of their choice (known as a trustee). The trustee holds legal title to the trust property, but they are obliged to hold the property for the benefit of others, specified by the settlor. The trustee owes a fiduciary duty to the beneficiaries, who are the "beneficial" owners of the trust property.

Estate Administration
