Jeanne Ann Pennebaker has extensive litigation, transactional, and court expertise. This expertise encompasses over 20 years of practice in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer and small business Bankruptcy, as well as Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Ms. Pennebaker has additional practices in Foreclosure Defense and IRS Consumer Tax Defense.

Ms. Pennebaker solely established, staffed, and managed a lucrative law practice in Chicago, Illinois. In her practice, she represented numerous Bankruptcy clients and additionally argued various adversary proceedings, made regular appearances on creditor matters, made appearances on foreclosure defense, negotiated IRS settlements, and represented clients in traffic court. Prior to that, she practiced two years with Robert J. Adams & Associates in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, and class action law in fair debt collection act violations. She then practiced for five years with Zalutsky & Pinski, a prominent consumer bankruptcy law firm, with her primary focus in Chapter 13.

Ms. Pennebaker was born and raised in Chicago which means she loves the blues, deep dish pizza, and Da Cubs and Bears. She attended college at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and earned a law degree at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. During her second year of law school, she attended an exchange program at the Concannon Program of International Law with Notre Dame in London, U.K. Ms. Pennebaker participated in Moot Court, notably being a team captain in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

While in Charlotte, Ms. Pennebaker has attended and graduated from the prominent O. Max Gardner's Bankruptcy Boot Camp. Additionally, she has headed a research project for Mr. Gardner regarding pertinent Bankruptcy issues in North Carolina. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association. Ms. Pennebaker has a loving family that includes her 14-year old daughter and her 11-year old son.
